i went with greg to the sympte or whatever its called convention which was pretty much a giant sales show room for cameras and film related editiing and compositing software. I was actually really impressed by the panasonic p2 camera which has two 8 gig cards that allow you to to plug and play into your pc and eliminate the entire capture process of your project, which is amazing for time saving. The other thing i was actually impressed with was the integration with final cut pro, motion and shake on mac. This package actually looks like theyre giving it a go and putting up some competition against the other majoring packages out there at the moment.

The other thing i did was after being inspired to get off my arse and to do some tests i actually did something. Firstly though since i dont have a camera i went looking for specific video that had a still shot with a starting or ending background plate and then any kind of movement across the screen. I first found a really bad shot from human traffic and did my first test but found it worked badly.

The next night i found a shot from witch hunter robin which is anime and was pretty much a few drops of blood falling on a church floor. I then created a bg plate from the first shot and used it as a difference key to isolate only the blood drops. This worked nicely and then i re-composited it onto of a revamped tat drawing i did. Made them 3d layers, added a camera, two lights and rendered it out. This looks great for a test but only goes for a few seconds. Now it has pushed me into actually getting around to making a entire web page for all my shit seeing as im finally getting into the full swing of the net thing instead of mild usage before. As soon as i get broadband i think ill be investing alot more time into it all.

and i still want that canon power shot pro 1 8 megapixel 7x zoom camera. please, its only a grand.

Over it

The good half.
Ok so i went out on saturday night and hit the town, ie city and went out to kings cross with jorg kylie and her mates. Well the night started off badly, and after leavingmy house at 8pm it took 2 hrs to get to kates house inst leonard because of track work and alot of waiting for trains and buses. So we started drinking at 10pm and it was all good while we were there and the girls i had met all seemd really nice. So we then headed out to kings cross around 12 and lined up at two or three places. The first one the bouncer was rude to kylie so we left, the second they let all the girls in and then said "the line end here" to me and jorg and then let some blondie dude in who was behind us. So got the shits and left and went to the same place me and ormo lined up to 2 weeks ago called sapphires. Went there and stayed till there all night. Up until this point it was a good night, and probably when we should have gone home. This is when the girls went home except for me jorg and kylie.

The bad half...
Stayed at sapphires for about 10 minutes and then they kicked us out. Instead of going home we went looking for more funand entertainment and found a place called stripperalla's. Kylies instant infactuation with dancing naked old unattractive ladies meant we just paid for and were staying in a stippers joint for the next half an hour even though they show had finished and they were actually closed. The fun continues. We then head back to that same pub that refused us boys entry 6 hrs earlier. After finding that it was 6 in the morning and there was a cover charge of 10 bucks were leaving when jorg volintarily paid resulting in me and kylie to pay and hence forth another half an hour of shit. After jorgleft to get some money and not returning i found him locked out and thenwe left this pub too.

The exciting conclusion.
I then said "f this im eating' and cranky, cold, tired and sick as all shit we went to maccas. After eating we then sat there for a long time. Finally i persuaded them to get up and we left. Caught a train to town hall. Kylie bythe way had to meet up with kelly at 11am, knowing this and after losing all her money,she then and there decided at 8am that she was going to wait atwhich point i said "f that im going home". So i left pissed off and cold. Didnt get home till 9am.

The result.
So what do we learn from this. Kylie, when your friends go home so do you. and then we can all have a good timeand no one gets pissed off. Also if you wanna wear a mini skirt in the middle of fing winter then you are going to have to deal with the freeze at 9 am in the morning. This weekend i was greatly dissapointed about the night in general, the people i was with ie K and Jorg and especially with myself. This i hope will never happen again. Right now i am disgusted with humanity. again.

ok so i was rndomly viewing other peoples blogs and found some dude that had posted alot of his photos up and so investigatesd and discovered www.flickr.com so since then ive been getting all my photos developed and scanned so i can upload them for everyone to see. So the other major discovery i found is that rabbit photos also offers a gold membership for one year where if you get photos developed there you get free film back for free. job interviews

ok so today i got two job interviews to go to, ones a prepress job in leichart thats just down the road from where i live and the other is a mac op job in parramatta. so im kinda hoping that ill get the prepress job because of its location and ease of travel, but then i dont know what the parramatta job will be like, and it is a bit of a trek to get theyre it seems. well either way if i get a job out of this then ill be happy, might actually be able to get back to saving again. well here goes, wish me luck.

job seeking

so im in sydney and im looking for work. which might i add is really hard to do when you have no cash, so my main direction of attack is through the internet. and atm im not using my pc or my own connection and when things dont work that really piss me off. like hotmail for some unknown reason wouldnt let me in because of a security page that kept looping with the login page. this is kinda annoying if your looking for work and you cant even check your emails to see if youve gotten a reply.

other than that ive pretty much been full nocturnal with a spice of randomness. ive been up at 4 am somedays and other ill wake up at 8 p. all over the shop really. so my time during these seculded hours have been spent pretty much playing civ3 and watching the history channel on foxtel.

the only other point id like to mention at this point in time is that my flat mate rochelle (gregs gf) can get a bit overwelming at times which is also contributing to my current secluded nature. this combined with a lack of finances and a new uncomfortable environment means im slowly turning into a hermit. if all these factors combine together, ie lack of cash, civ3, nocturnal sleeping, annoying people and not being comfortable with new city as well as san andreas, hitory channel and broadband once we get it, it doesnt look like im popping out from my hole for a long time, and that really sucks. of course if i get a job that pays me fairly well, like better than my last job then this wont be a bad thing because then i can save the cash i need to go back to phillipines ina year and a half. ahhh what a long sentence. couldnt be bothered making it make sense. anyway cheers yall.
