Chinese Laundry
Slipp Inn or as anyone who drinks but doesn't drink call it chinese laundry. The top half is the pub where you can get in for free while the bottom levels are chinese laundry. Its 10 bucks before 10pm and the crowd is a relatively well off better dress druggy crowd. There is drinking and all the likes but you dont see much of it downstairs where more of the pingers end up. The main bar of chinese laundry played popie/rnb music but never really got going untill 3am when everyone got pushed downstairs into the glimm dungeons of the ravers. The ravers listened to more funky trancy music but i only heard a few really great songs all night making the whole thing pretty average.
I wasn't as blind as my compadres however and still managing some degree of assertiveness i suppose i didn't pick up on those enheightened senses things you get from going to those places on a pinger. I do admit though going out every weekend to those places kinda dullsthem down for you. When its once a month or a couple of times a year like while in wagga it was more of an adventure. Now that its a regular thing iim slowly getting over it all. Although i do seem to be trashed every weekend as anyone reading this would account for.
There was a large degree of beautiful women there i have to admit. There was a younger richer daddies girl kinda chicks running around but there was a decent amount of 20 something girls loitering around too. They were however all escorted by 2 or three guys and when in large groups of 10 or so girls they were accompanied by and even larger group of 15 or more guys.
The club when we first got there was extremely cold and even though through out the night i danced alot and the clubs dance floors got extremelly crowded to the point i had to sit down, i never really got warm.
We started early at around 9pm at lukes place in newtown and got in slipp before 10. I didn't eat and was well and truly screwed from the previous nights efforts at the hopetoun, but you only live once and i never get to see james or ormo and the night was made for a party.
We stayed at chinese laundry untill 3am and by the every one was over it. the night went really fast and the next thing we knew we were in the street trying to hail a cab and get warm. i think i heard the temp dropped to 6 degrees and we were walking around in tshirts. We could have stayed and kept partying but the squirrel had worn off and we were all pretty hungry and over the repetitious sounds of techno. Nice place but id probably rather a really good nght at candies.
We couldn't get a cab surprise surprise so we just walked to town hall which was an epic adventure at that point in time. We managed to get there 5 minutes before my bus came and 10 min before luke and ormos came. I got on mine and had a nap on the way home to ashfield. I later found out that ormo and luke got swamped by the crowd and just ended up getting a taxi. :(
i got off along liverpool rd giving me a cool block and a half bonus from the station. At first it wasnt that cold, then two minutes later i was rubbing my arms, a few moments after that and i have my arms inside my shirt shivering and rubbing and still i wasn't warm. I even thought of running by that just wasn't gunna happen. I ended up having to have a shower because i was that cold and didn't wasnt to get sick from it. Crazy sydney weather.
