another big weekend
If you've ever known me to say during a week "ok so this weekend im not drinking and im gunna stay home have a quiet one and save some cash" then you'll know that that never happens and i always nearly always have a big one. Well you'll be proud to know that last week i said id stay home and i didn't. Good to see that im fullfilling everybody's expectation.
So prepare yourself for another long report from a huge cheshy weekend
Friday
Worked and planned at this point in time to still stay home and do nothing and save some cash. What really happened was that its adams last weekend in sydney before he has to move his shit down to melbourne so we had to go out and have a few beers.
Brenton and his band fidei played at spectrum so we headed off to see them before tehy had to head down to wagga for the "dusty days" festival. Got a call from james and met up with him for a bit but he ended up leaving with some asian bird to go dance at YU i think.
Since they weren't coming out we decided to head to this party at redfern that trent was friends with. Some arty people from his art school who decided to have a redneck party but because no one knew what a redneck was they changed it to a cowboy party instead.
After picking up a case of extra dry we cabbed it there and rocked up at a pretty busy time of the night. It was a arty party plainand simple and ihave to say i am in my element at parties. I do even better if its an arty party and the fact i had a smoke with alot of beers at the end of a long week i had a pretty good night.

Saturday
Woke up late sat morning and found my self alone and bombarded witha few messages from lukey asking me what the fuck i was doing? He was of course in reference to MattyG's party in st leonards that night and since it was already 5pm i thought i should get off my arse and get moving.
So i headed off to newtown to meet up worth luke and got some food. We ended up getting this chicken and they put it in a chinese container and then flooded it with potato corn and gravy. I wa really hungry but then as soon as i got my food i was done and couldn't eat and pretty much threw the whole thing out.
Travelled to st leonards and had to catch a bus from wynyard which was a pain but got there in the end. It was at st leonards and just down the road from work. We got there round 11 and walked in to funky beats, flashy disco lights and bubbles floating through the air. Free beer and food is always good. Theyre was a room with a xbox hooked up to a projector as well as time crisis three as well as a gun with sensor strips ont he wall so you could shoot right. Ahh so fun.
About half way through the ngiht i was chatting to some dude and starting feeling hungry when i spotted the barbie and a pile of fresh meat waiting to be cooked. I whipped the barbie into shape and the next thing i knew i was cooking for everyone. By the end of the night i was remembered as chef chesh. Ive always found people will like you if you supply them with lots of beer and lots of food. Got home late once again after downing a few too many beers. Great night.
Sunday
A big two nights in a row of partying i only felt like sleeping, but i was awaken by inquests into tropfest and slugged my way out of bed to get ready for a day in the sun! huh yeah right.
Tropfest was pretty cool and there were alot of people there, i think 20,000 people in the end and was a great day picnicing and enjoying the festivities and the sun. The came the rain. It wasn't that bad at first and it provided an refreshing breeze and humidity to the air. Within and hour it was a continuous rain and was unbearable to deal with straight up so i hid under an umbrella with bec and tim. By the time we had gotten half way through the second half of the screenings the rain was pouring down terrentially and we were so wet it didn't matter if you had a umbrella or not.
Tropfest was cancelled and we headed back home. As most of us were soaked and kinda outgoing in some kinda way while heading back through hyde park the others thought it would be a great idea to go for a swim in the hyde park fountain while it was pouring down. I tried to get out by being protector to the mobile technology but was eventually peer pressured into doing at least a lap.
Eventually headed home and froze my arse off the whole way home. My god, beign in bed and dry has never felt so good.
